http://www.TheNetworkBuilders.comMost Direct Sales Association companies have a system to build your MLM or home business but even used correctly people fail. Find out why and how to make money.
If you are following your Network Marketing companies system, why do some people still fail? I had an opportunity to speak with Frank Viscuso last night. Frank is a leader in the Network Marketing industry and is known for his team building success for home base businesses. We were talking about using the system. Most Network Marketing companies have a system to promote your MLM but you can use that system, use it correctly and still fail. We were talking about why that happens. It might be in the first few seconds of the first impression you are making with someone. It is how you walk into the room, your posture, it is taking that script that your company has and twisting it just a bit. I think if you take that script and inject your personality into it and genuinely be sincere and be interested in your prospect, your business is going to go a lot further than it does.
Lets stay away from words like Business Opportunity, lets stay away from I am getting Involved in something, you can hear how that sounds now right? My wife and I have just gotten Involved in this thing and we want you to get Involved too! Let me tell you my friends, no one wants to Get Involved in anything.
Just keep it simple. Tell them you have something you think they can benefit from or that you have a business idea you want to run by them and then follow your system and let that do the work. Let me know how that works out for you and leave me your comments. I always welcome what you have to say and want to know how to assist you in growing your network business.
http://www.TheNetworkBuilders.com A climb to the top of Pinwheel Vista off the Appalachian Trail teaches the secret to success in direct sales and making it to the top of a mountain.
You and I have both been there, somewhere on the journey of success we hit a wall. Your energy is at its highest when the adventure starts but along the way stuff happens. People disappoint us, things go wrong and the unexpected gets in the way of our moving on. This is the point most people quit. It happens every day and in what 96 percent of the world does. You are different. You have heard that before from me and in past articles but just the fact that you are here reading this and that you want more from life and are doing something to make that happen puts you in the top 4 percent of the people of this country.
There I was, 1100 feet up on the side of a mountain, getting tired and thinking about what Scott Carrell of the NetworkersNest wrote just the other day. He said, you are closer than you think. He is a coach and trainer for Martial Arts and carries that mantra in his MLM and his training. He reminded me that just when it gets hard, just when people quit is a time to smile inside and laugh. That is the big secret. When you think it is time to quit is when the big breakthrough happens. The deal goes through, the check comes in, you move on to the next belt. You come through that process like an iron man. You knew it was time to quit, pushed through and had success.
That, my friend, is the secret formula for massive success.
I pushed a bit harder on the mountain and made it to the top. The view was spectacular. I was at a vista off a section of the Appellation Trail that few people know about or can get to. From the top, I could see Three states at once and looked up to see an eagle overhead. I posted that video on TheNetworkBuilders site and received a lot of mail about it. A teacher is using it for a fourth grade class and it inspired another to write his own story. If I quit on that wall none of that would have happened and all those people would have missed out too.
So the next time it gets hard and you want to quit, smile and do a little bit more, you are closer than you think.
Here it is a Tuesday and I am at a private lake with my son and our network marketing friends, thinking back when network marketing first came my way. A friend showed my his presentation and because I trusted his father, a very successful business owner, I joined. For many years I learned the industry, read books, listened to tapes and attended every function. Looking back there was only one problem with that company, no one made money. The industry still appealed to me and another came my way. That one worked.
So as I sit here on a Tuesday, writing a short blog post from a Word Press Mobile application for my BlackBerry, the reality of the business hits me. It was all worth it and MLM works. The phone rang earlier and a few final questions were answered for a prospect, they signed up and are happy they did. Tonight I am assisting a new member with their first meeting and was invited for a home made meal before. The relationships and friends are huge bonuses.
I am grateful to the people that did not give up on me. I am grateful for who I became in the process. And I am grateful for a Tuesday at the lake with my son and our friends.
Why did you choose to join the Network Marketing industry? Chances are you had a reason. Was it big enough, was it something you could only accomplish with MLM? Revisit your WHY and dig deep. You will need to have a reason that is big enough to keep you going when times get hard, when the sponsoring stops, when money is tight in the beginning.
If there was another way to get what you want you would have done it. So the choice is to make Network Marketing work for you or give up on your dreams. There is no other choice in this equation. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. You can get what you desire. Why go back to the masses that have no dream. Don’t quit. You can do this.
You are different. You are not like everyone else. Just by reading this, trying to make it work and not quitting you are in the top 4%. Ninety-six percent of the country is happy to wait for the government to bail them out. Ninety-six percent of the country will do nothing to better themselves. They have a victim mentality. You, my friend, are an entrepreneur.
The people at your conventions, meetings and those who will listen to you are good to be around. Like minded people have a common cause and rally for that cause. In the right Network Company it’s the people who will pull you up. It is an amazing feeling to know that they believe in you more than you believe in yourself at times. I like these people. When I retired more cards, well wishes and phone calls came from my primary network company than from the people I worked with for 24 years.
You have already, or will in the near future, form incredible relationships. They can last a lifetime and carry over into other areas of your life. I want my children playing with the children of other networkers. They will read our books and hear the mantra of “Can’t is not allowed to be said in our home”. I have a friend who actually took correction fluid and removed the word “can’t” in his son’s dictionary. Don’t quit. Don’t give up. Your children are watching.
If you are not where you want to be right now, maybe it’s time to look under the hood. Your company should have a program for self improvement. Books, CD’s, seminars and other educational materials should be available to you. If money is your reason for not buying books, then go to the local book store and read for free. The library has been a free resource since we were children but today there are books on tape too. Books on CD are fantastic for those with a busy life. You can listen to CD’s in the car while driving or on your MP3 player or Blackberry device.
Matt Parr says’ “If you are a leader of one, you can be a leader of many. If you can’t lead one you can’t lead any.” He was talking about leading your self first. Get the knowledge you need to get to where you need to be. Get rid of the old “Stinking thinking.” While on a program of never ending self improvement you will learn the communication skills, people skills and raise your belief level in yourself.
You can do this. You can change if you need to. I did. Don’t quit. Never give up.
Now is the best time in history to be involved in a Network Marketing Company. As the economy bottoms out more people are in “the looking zone”. People are uncomfortable with what is happening with the economy and in their lives right now. Teachers and government employees are concerned about the future of their Pension systems. Self employed people are seeing more government regulation and must increase their overhead on health care for employees. Real estate is at a stand still. Some people I know have mortgages on properties whose values are less than the amount owed on them. People are looking for options and some control in their lives. You have the answer.
You, as the owner of a Network Marketing distributorship can connect to people in need. I stopped selling products and started to be an information provider to people who complain about the economy or the need for more money to make ends meet. By sharing the opportunity we have to offer, people are given a choice. Most will say no to your business but keep sharing that opportunity. If the company you are with now does not provide the best value for others consider switching to a better one. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. You are one company or one person away from a breakthrough. Thousands of people in my primary network company are making the money they need and have the lifestyle they want. You do not know how big an impact you can have.
We are talking about a business here. Maybe you did not do your homework on the first company you joined. I went through three companies before I found the one that worked for me. In the beginning I wanted to sell products, but the economy changed and so did the way people thought. In a traditional business start up capital is huge, tens of, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. In Network Marketing start up fees are a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Be thankful your first company got you in the industry and move on if you need to, butbefore you do, take a good look at yourself and see if you are following everything your companies system is telling you to do. Be honest. If you have out grown your present company, if they changed the way they do business, if the commission structure is not profitable or the product is no longer a value to your customers, it may be time to start looking. You know what to look for now. Take your new knowledge and experience and charge forward.
There is no doubt about it, to be successful you need to be tough –mentally. Bob Parsons of GoDaddy, shows you how to get out of your comfort zone and toughen up.
1. Find something that scares you, and do it anyway. Try something new that is totally out of your comfort zone. Tackle your smaller fears and you will find that there is very little to be scared of. This will give you the courage and desire to take the bigger risks necessary for the really big rewards.
2. Identify what it is you really want to to or who you really want to be. When you are ready to get out of your comfort zone, find your passion. Make a plan and take small daily steps to you goal or dream everyday. Focus on small daily tasks. Even the most daunting tasks can be tackled if take one step at a time.
3. Get risky, not reckless. Be sure your risks are calculated. Have a backup plan, identify the worst thing that can happen, accept it and move on.
4. Accept and manage good fortune and bad fortune. Sometimes things will not go your way. Never look at defeats as failures. See them as learning opportunities and an investment in your education as a savvy, successful business person.
5. Being outside of your comfort zone can really make you feel uneasy. It is easy to get discouraged and down then run right back to your old self. This must be avoided at all cost. So how do you keep your spirits up? Here is a simple trick that Bob learned from Kirk Douglas, it is simple and effective for getting around those moments. Avoid thinking and talking about yourself. Focus on others around you, solutions or whatever it is in front of you. Think about the unhappy people you know, there is one thing they all have in common. They are always talking about themselves and their situation. So if you are down, change what you think about.
Once you get out of your comfort zone you will break those imaginary shakles that hold you back. Spending time outside your comfort zone makes you feel alive like never before. Your confidence will go up and allow you to draw on all the power you have to succeed.
The Line Between Business and “FRIENDship” on Facebook
By Jessica Sitomer
Maybe I’m cranky because I’ve been hit by one too many pillows on Facebook this week, but it’s time to have this conversation. Facebook, is an amazing tool for entertainment industry professionals, because it’s such an easy way to learn about people you normally wouldn’t have access to. You learn through their posts, pictures, and videos. Usually, you learn good things, like: They’re proud parents or dog owners, avid sailors or snowboarders, artists, photographers, sports fanatics, TV show fans, excellent cooks, etc.
However, sometimes you learn bad things about them, like that they have too much time on their hands (because they’re spending all their time on Mafia Wars or planting farms), they don’t understand boundaries (because they are “selling themselves” on your wall without your permission, by posting a link of their reel or tagging you in a video they shot that you had nothing to do with to capitalize on your name), or that they are annoying (because they hit you with pillows, 10 times a day or send you gifts that they want returned).
Social media may be fun for some, but if you are using Facebook as a way to showcase yourself to the world as a well-rounded human being with a life and career, then be very aware of how you’re presenting yourself.
Some bonus “no-nos”
1. Don’t send out blanket emails to everyone on your list. That’s called SPAM, and is not legal.
2. Be aware of how many times you’re asking someone to be your fan. If they didn’t join your page the first 3 times, they’ll probaly unfriend you on the 11th time (at least that’s my breaking point, and I’m pretty easy going.)
3. Do not invite EVERYONE on your list to an event if it doesn’t apply to them.
4. Don’t write confrontational things on people’s wall If you disagree with something they wrote, send a private email. You don’t want to be recognized as the guy/gal who starts Facebook wall wars.
Keep in mind, some people have over 1000 friends. If even half of their friends sent them a fan page request each day, that’s a lot of email to sort through. Yes, many people, including me, have my Facebook messages forwarded to my private email. SO BE CONDSIDERATE OF PEOPLE’S TIME.
All that said, I love Facebook, I love my Facebook Friends, and I love that this marketing tool is free. Use it wisely and you will reap the benefits.

http://www.TheNetworkBuilders.com Scott Carrell of NetworkersNest.com talks at the Nortic House in Vernon. Why No One Cares About Your Network Business or MLM. Home base businesses are booming, why?
Why Nobody Cares About Your Network Marketing Company!
Before continuing on, just repeat the title of this article to yourself…..Why Nobody Cares About Your Network Marketing Company. You say to yourself, but I’m a smart person, I make good decisions, why wouldn’t people care about my company. I’ve done my due diligence, I’ve researched this company and feel completely comfortable with the products, the services, and the comp plan. I’ve been involved with a couple other companies before, and I believe that this is the one that will make me the most money. You believe that this is the one that you can absolutely convince people to join and sell this to them. I mean, why wouldn’t people see that this is the company that will set them free and make them millionaires?? Why? What a great question! How about asking a better question, why not?
People don’t care about comp plans and percentages. People don’t care why your product is better than the one they already buy at the health food store. People don’t care about your network marketing company and why it’s going to make you a boat load of money. Why not?? Because they care about themselves. Now I don’t mean in a selfish, who cares about anyone else sort of way. I mean in a that sounds great for you, but what is that going to do for me kind of way.
People want to know what the benefit is to them, their family, their lifestyle, their bank account! People want to know that you have their best interest at heart. They want to know that they’re people with their own set of personalities and obstacles, not just a number in your downline. They want to be recognized for their own achievments, not just as points on the way to your next check. Now this leads to the bigger question, how do I let people know that I have their best interest at heart?
I have two answers to this question that seem to work for me. I didn’t come up with them on my own, I’m not that clever. I was taught these things by people who had the interpersonal and communication skills that I apparently lacked at the time. Ok, enough with the suspense. The answers are to add value to their lives, and practice the fine art of giving without want. Wait a minute now!! You may say that you are adding value by sharing such an awesome business opportunity with them. You may also find yourself saying something like, “well what am supposed to do? Donate the checks I earn? Maybe that would be giving enough for you”. What I am saying is that to add value to someone you need to bring something to the table beyond your own needs. Approach things from their point of view. If they are looking for new car insurance, suggest the insurance agent who gave you a great rate. If they need new mini blinds, let them know where you got them dirt cheap. Let them borrow that John Maxwell book you have when you hear them talking about life goals and success. Lend out that movie, send them the website that helped you learn about lowering the interest on your mortgage, give them the pin number to your ATM card….ok, not really. Just seeing if you’re still with me. These are a few easy examples of adding value, which leads me directly into the concept of giving without want. Basically, as you are adding value to peoples lives, doing things from the heart, expect nothing in return. Do these things that to you and I seem so small, but to a person in need of that website, that book, or even the mini blind tip, it is huge. Doing these tiny little things from the heart with no expectation of anything in return are the blocks that build relationships. Build lasting relationships that transcend any sales pitch! Do this by adding value to their lives, and give without any expectation in return. If you keep the sale in mind first, the life of the relationship lasts until they get frustrated and quit. By keeping your prospective business partner and teamates interests first, you have a relationship that was built on trust, and they know they will have someone to stick with them and rely on through those struggles that we all inevitably face in this business.
So, one more time, repeat after me. Why nobody cares about your network marketing company. Remember, people don’t join a company. They Join you!
