Brock Lesnar and Network Marketing?

Have you ever had lunch with someone and wished you could have taken notes because the conversation was that good? Today over burgers Scott Carrell of the Networkers Nest brought up the question, does Brock Lesnar have what it takes to be a Network Marketer. His response was so good I grabbed the camera and filmed it while it was fresh in his head. Here is classic Scott discussing Brock Lesnar and Network Marketing.

Is Brock Lesnar A Network Marketing Expert?

You know, as I was watching the UFC heavyweight championship fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin last night, a few questions crossed my mind? Is Brock Lesnar a network marketing expert? Is he an inspirational speaker to those working on attaining financial freedom? You may be asking yourself what the heck does an MMA fighter have to do with building your home based business? Well, I’ll tell you!
For those of you who don’t follow mixed martial arts, Mr. Lesnar was hospitalized with a serious illness that could have resulted in his never fighting again….and that was the best case scenario. The doctors told him that his career was over and would never get in the ring again. The long of the short of it is, that despite all of the adversity and the medical facts, he made a decision. The decision to succeed. So he got back in the gym, trained himself back into fighting shape, and got himself a fight to defend his belt.

During the first round he, well, he took a beating!  The announcers described how much trouble Brock was in, and that the fight was all but over. He was getting hammered, but never quit! Then in the second round, he got himself together, and reached the goal he had set. Not just to fight, but to win!! His hand was raised as the undisputed champion of the world.

As we go through our own business challenges, we need to take a similar approach. Realize that working a direct sales business will give you your shares of ups and downs. The way you handle these will determine your level of success. Overcoming the obstacles, instead of succumbing to them, will make you stronger and more prepared to stay in the fight. Now, I know we’re not going to win the world title or anything, but we win something just as fantastic. The freedom to make your own choices! Isn’t that worth  Fifteen prospects in a row that say no may make you want to quit. Bob and weave, move on to number sixteen. Haven’t sponsored anyone this week? Get back in the game, make some contacts, and make it happen!
MMA fighters get in the gym for their training. We get into reading books, listening to CD courses, and attending events. Jump back into your MLM training! Pick up a John Maxwell leadership book. Listen to Chris Wideners “Winning With Influence”. Counsel with your upline leaders, or attend your company’s national convention.

The point I’m trying to make is don’t let a little bump in the road get in the way of achieving your goals, and earning a residual income. Whatever it takes to overcome whatever your challenge is, do it! We can learn from the example of Brock Lesnar. I’d love to sponsor him into my business, and have him on my team. If A 265 pound monster punching him in the face didn’t make him say uncle, getting a few no’s won’t bug him to much. How much will you take before you tap out and put an end to your dream? I know the answer….Never!

Great analogy. The only difference between me and the top income earner in my company is that he has overcome more adversity than I have. Thanks Scott!
